Lorde's  real name is  Ella Marija Lani.

  1. Lorde writes her music vocally and does not play musical instruments on her records or on stage. She states that her main focus is her voice, elaborating, “I don’t play any instruments, so my voice needs to have the focus. My vocals cape is really important.” You can’t help but think that if she wanted to learn anything though, all she’d need to do is pick it up.

  2. Hey James,

I'm Daniel from the Kootuitui Summer Learning Journey team and I'm excited to start commenting on your blog posts this week and over the summer.

I really like your Lorde post, It was really interesting and I learned stuff that no one else has mentioned before. It’s cool to learn about how much she focuses on her voice but that you think she could learn and instrument if she wanted to. Do you like to sing or want to play an instrument?

The photo is really good too and it’s nice and big. Just sure that next week you attribute all your images for maximum points by writing where you found them. You can have a look at the pictures on the activities page for an example.

I’m really looking forward to seeing more awesome work like this from you this week and throughout the holidays. Remember that week 1 of the SLJ program starts on the 16th of December to start earning those points.

    Daniel
